Online stopwatchHonestly, this is my go to tool. When I need students to work and stay focused, this is the first site I pull up. It is full of fun timers and stopwatches that can be displayed on a projector, smartboard, or computer screen. Keeps them focused and turns even those boring note-taking tasks in to a competitive race.

Class dojo/class craft
I will be honest- I have not yet used these site. However, I know many teachers that have and they love them. Class Dojo and Class Craft both serve the same purpose, but are designed for different age groups. Basically the sites allow you to reward and give consequences for student behavior, while allowing students to compete against one another and themselves. Totally worth checking out!

Youtube
Youtube for classroom management?!? How does that work? I love using Youtube to offer rewards for my students and control the noise levels in my classroom. Social studies can be a noisy thing, full of debating and sharing. To keep our noise levels in check and as a tool for reward I use Youtube playlists to manage my classes. When a student is caught doing something great in class they receive a music ticket. They can use this ticket to add a song to our classroom playlist. THEN I turn on that playlist during class to keep noise in check. If you can't hear the song then you are being too loud. Its simple and a fun way to keep everyone under control. Plus you get to learn more about your students (and of course you are always welcome to dance around the room)!
