Google Forms are a huge time saver. Sometimes I need to quickly judge my students understanding, but don't have the time to draw up a worksheet. Sometimes I need a place for students to share their concerns on a project. Sometimes I need their feedback. Google Forms are useful for all of that and more. It is a great tool for both formative and summative assessment. I've also found it very helpful for scheduling in class conferences, when I am using the workshop model to guide my class. The uses are endless, and the process is simply. Sometimes I will throw together a form while the kids are working in class, especially when I feel like we need an extra 'check for understanding' point.
